Puja Ceremony

Today we went through an annual ritual called a Puja ceremony. We brought in a Holy Lama who blessed us and our gear for safe passage up and down the mountain.

Lots of chants, prayers and rice were thrown into the air to celebrate our arrival and epic attempt to climb Mt Everest. For the Sherpa, it is very spiritual and the ceremony ends with everyone dancing and singing.

A lifetime experience for sure.
